Ryan helped us buy our dream house in a tough seller's market. As a tech family relocating from the Seattle area, we are type A, do things by the book, and have many questions. He impressed us with his hometown understanding of neighborhoods, traffic patterns, schools, and resale value knowledge. He’s also super funny and kept our spirits up throughout the whole process. When we reached out to Ryan, we had a wide geographical range—we knew we would be relocating back to Los Angeles but had not yet narrowed the location thing down. He was patient and educated us on the various neighborhoods—strengths, quirks, and challenges of the neighborhood of each house we visited. Most importantly, Ryan took the time to learn what was important to us as a family, beyond square footage and superficial features. As a result, he could confidently make recommendations based on his vast experience and his knowledge of our needs.
He was not afraid to say when a house didn’t seem like a good value or a good fit for our family. However, ultimately it was our decision, and Ryan never pressured us one way or the other.

His business and negotiation acumen was first rate! His mortgage contact was excellent. He helped us write competitive offers and his advice was always spot on. When putting in offers, Ryan was good at getting the price right and suggested the right conditions, too. Because of the red hot seller’s market with very low inventory, when we didn’t get a house they were all due to other factors (e.g. no limit offer, unlimited rent-back with an unspecified closing date, etc.). While it was frustrating to miss out initially, Ryan helped us to be patient and not panic, even when it seemed that no suitable houses were coming on the market for a while.

When we had an offer accepted on our dream house, there were several highly stressful road blocks in the process. Ryan was relentless in clearing everything up and giving us great advice throughout. He also had great relationships with inspectors and contractors and helped us get to and through closing with care and support.
